We will use this technique when we have exclusively the three same candidates in the same block, line or column.
If in this area (block, line or column), the three candidates are the only present in three cells, they have to be eliminated from other cells of the area.
Here an example of candidates triple present in a block.

The 4,7 and 9 are triple candidates. They are highlighted in yellow.

We can thus eliminate these candidates from the other cells.
